Getting Started
It is recommended that you visit and read the links related to minimum wage increases and ordinances, to familiarize yourself with this information.
You must First determine your EFFECTIVE-DATE for any new rates of pay.
Then determine WHEN those rate increase will take effect.
Then CHANGE the employee rates accordingly.
Refer to the payroll submission below, to learn HOW to make rate changes.

For all clients that deliver their payroll information to us by Call-In, Fax-In, Esheet or Email, you will need to use the following steps:
Submitting the Rate Changes to Payville
Update the new employee rates on your Input Worksheet.
If you do NOT have the Input Worksheet, please contact your Client eXperience Representative (CXR).
Deliver the new pay rates & their effective date to your CXR NO LATER THAN FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS prior
to your scheduled processing date. This will insure that your CXR has the necessary time to accurately update our systems.
For Remote Users of our Evolution "thin client" software, please use the following steps to adjust your employee's rates.
Changing the Standard Rate of Pay
Click on the
[Employee Menu]
and also the [Employee] Sub-menu.
For Each employee that requires a rate change, select the employee, details tab and change the
[Rate Amount] Field value.
Don't forget to use the
[Save] and
[Commit] Buttons.
Changing Additional Rates
Click on the [Employee] and
[Employee Pay Rate Info]
Sub-menu.
For Each rate that requires a change, select each rate from the rates grid in the "override information" section,
and then modify the
[Rate Amount] Field value.
Don't forget to use the
[Save] and
[Commit] Buttons.
Verifying the Changes
It is recommended that you run the Input Worksheet Report to verify that employees have the correct rates.
Make sure the
[Report Parameters]
are setup correctly. It is recommended that you CHECK the boxes to OMIT the rates for salaried employees.

Aside from updating the payroll software, please consider updating your POS (Point-of-Sale) and Time & Attendance systems.
